Surveys
The Surveys tab lets you build and send post-event feedback surveys directly within the event workspace. Surveys collect structured ratings, open-ended comments, and Net Promoter Score (NPS) data from your attendees, with results aggregated in a summary dashboard.

Creating a Survey
- Go to the Surveys tab and click 'New Survey'.
- Give the survey a name (internal) and an intro message shown to respondents.
- Add questions using the question builder.
- Set a closing date (optional) — after which the survey link returns a 'survey closed' message.
- Save the survey as a draft.
Question Types
| Question Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Rating (1–5 stars) | Attendee selects a star rating. Good for session quality. |
| NPS (0–10 scale) | Standard Net Promoter Score question. Forge automatically calculates your NPS from responses. |
| Multiple Choice | Single selection from provided options. |
| Checkbox | Multiple selections from provided options. |
| Open Text | Free-form response. Good for suggestions and comments. |
| Yes/No | Binary choice. Good for logistics questions ('Did the venue meet your needs?'). |
Sending the Survey
Once the survey is ready, send it via email from the Communications tab — select the 'Post-Event Survey' template, which automatically includes the unique survey link per attendee. You can also configure the automated 'Survey Invitation' email (2 days post-event) to include the survey link.
Viewing Results
The Survey Results panel shows aggregate data: average rating per question, NPS score, multiple-choice distribution charts, and all open-text responses. Filter by ticket type or session to see if feedback differs across attendee segments.
Survey responses are anonymous by default
By default, survey responses are not linked to individual attendees — respondents see a confirmation that their response is anonymous. If you need to link responses to attendees for follow-up, enable 'Identified Responses' in the survey settings.
