Admin Overview

The Admin section of Forge is restricted to users with the Forge Admin profile. It covers workspace configuration, user management, beta feature toggles, object field mapping, and security settings. Reach it via the gear icon at the bottom of the left sidebar.

User Management

Forge user access is derived from Salesforce profiles and permission sets — there is no separate Forge user directory. To grant someone Forge access, assign them the appropriate Forge permission set in Salesforce.

• Forge Admin — full access including Admin panel, global settings, and beta features.
• Forge Event Manager — create and manage events; cannot change workspace settings.
• Forge Viewer — read-only access to events and reports.
• Custom permission sets — your SF admin can create scoped permission sets for specific event groups or functions.

Beta Features

The /beta page lists all features in beta or hidden preview. Admins can toggle features on for the entire workspace. Non-admin users cannot access this page.

Object Field Mapping

Forge can surface custom Salesforce fields on attendee and registration forms. The Admin > Field Mapping section lets you configure which Salesforce fields are available for use as custom form elements, and how they display to registrants.

NPSP / NPC / EDA Detection

Forge automatically detects whether your org has NPSP (Nonprofit Success Pack), NPC, or EDA installed. When detected, additional field bridges appear in Admin settings — for example, mapping bt_fundraising__ donation records to NPSP Opportunity records.

Audit Logs

Admin > Logs shows a full audit trail of admin actions: who changed a global setting and when, which user created or deleted an event, and when a gateway credential was rotated. Logs are retained for 90 days.

Session and Security Settings

Admin > Security lets you configure session timeout duration, allowed IP ranges for Forge access, and whether magic-link portal sessions are enabled. These settings apply workspace-wide.
